I read all the endorsements....with highlighter in hand as they so well described 'what was yet to come', phrases I found so enlightening and prophetic as to what to expect. They were the perfect preface! I am so looking forward to it. Your style of writing appears to be the same except more elevated in the spirit, as if God was writing and sharing such wisdom, therefore, I know, the material will be anointed and most applicable.

I just received the three books and in two sittings, read the one of Branding. Again, with highlighter and pencil. Turns out, I've about turned all the pages yellow, every line was a morsel of needed information. I made marginal notes and shared some of this with my spirit filled husband. He supports me completely, His late wife was an instructional artists and also made instructional DVDs. She passed with cancer and we married 2 years later, fortunately, we all three were in same class together for 12 years, then all went separate ways, only to be brought together again in the most unique way. He sold Liliedahl Video Publishing, the studio and moved from Houston area to the country with me in Louisiana. With him came JOhnnie's large art, DVD and CD library and packets of "painting by correspondence" packets used before Internet. His life with her gave him a profound knowledge of painting plus, with his being behind one of the cameras and editing film, his is a great critic for me. Since here, he has become a strong spiritual supporter, loving our church and is active in it. I'd made a committment in 1985, that when I finished pursuing some professional designations I promised myself oil painting classes. It was until I retired and received this oil painting 'gift' from Johnnie (late wife) that I began an order 2014; seven months later, had a painting done outside class, that was juried into competition in a small gallery. We don't live in the art capital in Louisiana, that is mostly New Orleans. In those years, learning and using materials available by Johnnie and the other top artists they filmed on DVDs, I had a passion to learn as much as possible, for there are too many things I want to paint, and not enough years left to execute them. So I am 'fast tracking' it and the best way to do that, is with the kingdom strength added to my passion. Since I became involved with Created to Thrive, I had a vision of a view from heaven, as if you were in an airplane looking down on the clows seeing church steeples breaking through those clouds. We went all over our parish taking pictures of steeples. They will be imposed on a canvas with the background outlined in the shape of our parish and that background filled with clouds......the name came to me as "Breakthrough".....that is the only way we can preserve our future is to come together in Christ for a 'breakthrough' bringing God back into our lives and changing the culture. Another last week, I got form a song, "Open up the flood gates, the mighty river.......so I saw the gates of Heaven open with a river flowing out. As I am still a beginner painter, I still have many lessons ahead....one learning to draw perspective on those steeples from God's eye, point of view instead of from the ground where the pictures were taken. One day, I'd turned the corner and the sun had highlighted the Methodist church steeple and it is the most beautiful steeple in our parish and the vision followed.

I am now starting the next book on Kindgom and then the 3rd one afterwards, all in time for your new book to arrive. I have no doubt, the new one will have an increased passion and wisdom than the others. I am passing the Brand book over to my art teacher (retired art teacher) who is spirit filled as I believe it will help our class as a whole as well.

I have enjoyed Equipped and the videos and reading. I've not been vocal as I am assimilating all the information and trying to avoid overload. I give my teacher 2 weeks to return the book for I have such notes in there that I need to start working on for the 90 days. I would suggest any reader having their journal with the books so notes can be expanded into the journal as the books are read.

On another note, your basketry enthrall me. I have spent time in the woods......in HOuston one year, I wanted to observe our Cristian women's group with hand made gifts. It was January and I knew the first woman with a birthday in Jan liked my hand made heart shaped wreaths which were large and very FULL. I knew of some woods close to our subdivision and no one knew the owner, so asked her to come with me and we pulled many vines. I also put a large tub on my stove and boiled water for the ones to soften and in that state, I applied them to a board with the design in nails to start with the leader/strongest vines that had 'points' for lower and upper centers. I did have to place a board across it with my cast iron skillets to flatten the shape a bit. Then with blue mixed dye, I sp

I just read the free chapter. I think your book will be a great asset to the artist who loves God and submits their life to Him. I am a prophetic artist, know in my heart the art I create is co- created with Holy Spirit. I believe God has a plan for the art that we create: I only want to be about my Father's business, so sit peaceful and content knowing His plans will not be thwarted. I also believe your books are a part of His plan for me. I have one of your books , and plan to buy this one as well. Thank you Matt for sharing what God has entrusted to you. May God continue to Bless you richly.

Matt: I read the intro and first chapter. I’m so glad to read your words which are also Gods good word. That there is hope and a future and a way to listen to God and to approach my In a way He wants to have me work with Him.
I’m looking forward to the liberatiom from art being a hopeless way to make a living. I believe in my art, that God speaks to me through it. That it’s healing and good for me and for others too.
I’ve lost so much hope in myself by doing things the wrong way. I am hoping that I can find a sense of new life and hope by reading the chapters of your new book.

Matt, I love how you talk about the starving art mentality, and can go right into how it’s not a life sentence if you’re an artist. You tell them there is a better way, and you and your life are living proof.

I thinks it’s great how you relate to the audience to let them know you’ve been through, what a lot of artists are currently living. You speak our lingo lol. You’re not just some guy who thinks he has a great idea, you’ve lived it, you’ve proved it.

I think it is key that this isn’t just a Matt thing, so many self help success kind of things are based on what the person selling it can do, not everyone is a Matt Tommey. The great thing is that everyone can be a successful artist because it’s based on a more than a charismatic personality. It’s based on an eternal principles.

The best thing of all Matt, is you are teaching and showing creatives how live as the person God created them to be. You are helping us to break out of the crap and breathe and I for one can’t thank you enough.

So I obviously think it’s great!

Hi Matt!

Thank you so much for your Intro and First Chapter! I am one who even enjoys reading endorsements and I read every single one of yours and thoroughly loved and was blessed by them.

I was especially encouraged by what I read in your first chapter. I found great hope and excitement being stirred up and rising within me. I had a strong sense that finally, through your new book and video series, I knew thriving as an artist isn’t just a pipe dream but a very real possibility. I believe I am going to receive the answers, guidance, wisdom, inspiration, strategies, and everything else I need to finally prosper as a Creative.

It doesn’t hurt to know that now is my due season at last to take that leap of faith! Many years ago after a devastating layoff in the art publishing field, my art was put on the back burner. It was very painful, but I knew God was repositioning me. My focus was redirected to writing. Now I’m happy to say that after publishing my first book, God is resuscitating my heart and my art. He is marrying them to my writing to be used for His glory! I’m thrilled and filled with great expectations about what lies ahead.

Interestingly, I had to smile at a wink of confirmation from God as I read the last two paragraphs of your first chapter. It resonated deeply with me and was saying very much the same thing in a prophetic word God gave me March 3rd titled, “The Power Is On!” Like you, God told me His power is always on and all that He is and has is always available to us. It’s our choice whether we stay plugged in or not!

I look forward to diving into your Created to Thrive video series and eventually your new book. Thank you for being so real and authentic and for being willing and obedient to share your art journey and take us along with you to that place of thriving God desires for all of us to abide in and experience!

Blessings to you.

Mr. Tommey, All I can tell you for now is that God has a time for everyting under the sky. You came to me the artist at the right time. I for a very long time have been asking myself and God what is my purpose and I believe my painting skills have a lot to do with it. I have always asked God to allow me to show people his Glory, Love, and beauty through my paintings. I did not know there was such thing as a prophetic art in the Kingdom if God. I am reading two of your books and I have been so blessed spiritually speaking. This new book I know is full of God’s wisdom and revelation for us, his craftsmen. I am ready to received what God has in stored for me. You are indeed a men of God and God had created you for such a time as this. I Am looking forward to your book. God bless you.

Hello Matt, after downloading I started to read the recommendations for your book. But then I thought I didn't need to be impressed by your qualities. So I read the first chapter right away. Although English is not my first language, it is easy to read because it does not only speak to the mind, but to soul and spirit. And that's where I can understand it very well. Unfortunately, your books cannot be bought in German, there is only one available as kindle edition. So I decided to buy and read them in English. You have stirred up a hunger in me for more of God's plans for his artists and I will be able to know what role he intended for me in them. I am really looking forward to what I will discover in the three videos. Thank you, Matt, for your obedience and support. What you sow, you will reap.... a great harvest I pray.

Honestly I began to cry . . . it struck my heart in an area that clearly God wants to heal and bring His restoration and resurrection to. I understood your struggle in the past since that is where I am now. It is hard to see through the pressures we are under or to have much hope since I feel I have been asking and praying for a long time and not really seeing any answers. But hearing your journey and your being transparent has given me hope that if God can do it for you, then He can do it for me and my husband . . . for He has only good plans for us. So we have taken the step of faith to come to the Gathering of Artisans, walking on water with our eyes on Jesus. I look forward to reading more of your book and watching your upcoming videos. We take one day at a time and stay close to His word and His presence. We live and breathe and have our being in Him. He is our only hope.

Wow! Inspirational! I love your connection of art from and with God. He creates the inspiration in us and it can actually help transform people's lives! I thought I was just having fun painting. I knew my gift was from God and He's given me a passion to paint. It's great because I'm a caregiver for my husband and can't leave him alone for more than several hours, so I feel I'm missing out on a lot. But painting "takes me away". I'm by no means a professional and haven't even been painting for that long, but God tells me to "just keep painting". He'll work out the rest. I thank God for you and your ministry. He has blessed you mightily! And He'll bless me even more as I "align myself with God's design for my life and art." Like you said.

Yes, this is where I am in pilgrimage right now. Have been pressing at many boundaries, trying to see what limits there may be. The giftings of art in me have been left dormant for most of my life. Last night, I just received word that I did not pass an Oral Review that would have moved me on in the process of becoming a police officer. At 54, so much has changed in my life and so much is yet to change. I was disappointed, relieved, and hopeful in hearing they would not consider me. Talk about conflicted! I look out on the newly fallen snows and consider the Daffodils in the garden. Their heads are bowed down, covered in the weight of brilliant white, a combination of things unique in the moment to each of them, and see that there is hope and promise. I will wait, even as they. I lift up my eyes...

Dear Matt, was so impressed w/your first video that I was pausing & stopping the video many times to soak up this knowledge that you were so kind to share. Am looking towards next video while recovering from severe Bronchitis. I hope some day soon I can visit your studio when I come in for a visit to see my daughter in Sylva. I live in KS. Can’t wait to put this info you gave to the test! Thanks again!

Matt,

Hungry, starving even, for the rest of the book and video series to come, I will devour them as I seek to partner with the Holy Spirit to think new thoughts through God's Work, grow in my creativity as I understand Him more and more as my Creator, that I'm made in His image as that very Creator, and through my art hopefully and prayerfully enlarge His kingdom. May God continue to bless you through this VITAL ministry. Excitement is just leaping off these pages.

A new journey, a new blueprint! Speaking words of life, getting rid of the old voices of negativity. Looking forward to reading and feeding on the book! Thank you for sharing what God gave you to enlighten other creative people who have been bound by negative past experiences.

M.T. I read some of it earlier today....and I thought "Jesus bless his little heart... but his is the shortest ebook I've ever read!"TYJ! "I was delighted to find out it was just a chapter..."Right?

P.S. You all down the Bible Belt it's received OK. (Jesus bless his little heart.) Here in the Great Northwest...not so much. D.R.

Isn't it amazing that God brings us direction just when we need it? This past weekend I spent three solid days manning a booth at a home show resulting in one sale and 16 subscribers to my monthly email. Not the smashing success I was expecting! Then my private student decided she doesn't have time for her weekly lessons.
Then I remembered your download and Bam! God is talking to me. He heard my anguish and fear as I cried to Him last night in anger and frustration.
Thank you
I look forward to the videos.

This is my first time hearing about you and I have printed off the free download and watched the first video. I am a papercrafter and sell my work as well as teach the craft. I taught in several Christian schools for 30 years and now retired so am trying my hand at this art. I do want to glorify the Lord in all I do and am excited to see what other help I can receive from your videos. Thanks for making them and sharing what and how the Lord has used you in both His service and your art.

Seriously excited about this book, Matt!! Its a mind-renewal handbook for artists! I know things are changing for me already. Just marinating in the concepts the Father has taught you is changing my perspectives already. I know the day is coming that the change in my mind will reflect in my work. Slow and steady. Your story is a sign and a wonder. I know thats "written" in mine too. Love the chapter!!

As a member of the Created to Thrive Mentoring group I am truly blessed to have found this group. I am grateful to have Matt as my mentor, because each time I visit the site God uses him to speak into my life in all forms such as encouragement, edifying, direction, and even at times bringing correction in such a loving way all I can do is to receive it and come up higher in my words, actions, thoughts and creative life. This Created to Thrive series is another tool that God is using and I am grateful and thankful for it. Thank you Matt for all the diligent hard work that goes on behind the scenes to bring such good fruit for others to enjoy.
Blessings to you and your ministry.

I'm not much of a reader, I find reading hard work so it feels like a chore (I've so appreciated that your teaching in the mentoring group is on videos!). However I read your intro and 1st chapter this morning (determined to give it a go as I've found your teaching in the group so helpful) and I really enjoyed what you've written. I don't think I've ever read a first chapter that has made me want to read on to the rest of the book so much! It's clear and easy to read and the content builds faith and courage, hope and excitement in me. I know that this is a key time in my journey with art, my journey with God and my journey with 'me' and am so grateful for all you are feeding into it. Thank you.

Thanks Matt for the inspiration and truth! I've been struggling with this very thing for a long time. I hope to start doing what I love doing very soon, which is recycling and repurposing old items into new things.
I appreciate you taking the time to share this with us!

This looks like it is a great book to read with only encouragement and how to info for Christian artists who want to believe that God wants them to live an abundant life and learn how to walk in God's best for us!

Matt,
I love the audio ebook! I'm a big fan of audio books, and I have to say that rarely do I find authors as gifted in narrating their own books as they are in writing them. You are! It's a joy to listen to, and, yes, it does feel as though you are right in the room with me having coffee. Thanks, and thank you, Lord.
