Because our clients come from many different streams of the Body of Christ, we want to make sure everyone understands our Statement of Belief and the perspective from which we will teach and facilitate our membership communities.
- Salvation Through Jesus Alone: We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, attainable only through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not based on human merit or works, but solely on the grace of God. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who took on our sins, was crucified, died, and rose again, so that all who believe in Him might have eternal life.
- The Trinity: We affirm the eternal existence and unity of the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. These three persons are distinct yet coequal, coeternal, and consubstantial in essence and divinity.
- Gifts of the Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit endows believers with spiritual gifts for the edification, encouragement and exhortation of the Church, individuals, communities and the world. These gifts, both ordinary and extraordinary, natural and supernatural, are active and relevant today just as they were in scripture, and they serve to empower and equip believers to live victoriously and to advance God's Kingdom on earth.
- Baptism of the Holy Spirit: We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct and subsequent experience following conversion as seen in Acts 19. This baptism empowers believers for service and witness, deepens their communion with God, and is often accompanied by the manifestation of the spiritual gifts including faith, healing, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of wisdom, words of knowledge, working of miracles, and discerning of spirits. We hold that every believer can and should expect to be filled with the Holy Spirit, thereby enabling a life of greater spiritual maturity, effectiveness, and dynamism in their Christian journey.
- The Bible as Holy Scripture: We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the only infallible and inspired Word of God. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice, and it serves as our primary guide in all aspects of life.
- The Atonement of Sin: We believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross as the ultimate atonement for the sins of humanity. Through His sacrificial death and resurrection, believers are reconciled to God, redeemed from the bondage of sin, restored to God's Kingdom and granted eternal life.
- The Christian Life & God's Kingdom Within: We affirm that every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, making God's Kingdom a present reality in their lives. This divine indwelling empowers believers to live righteous, holy, and fruitful lives, bearing witness to the love and power of Jesus Christ in the world.
- Promise of Abundant Life: We hold that Jesus Christ offers not just eternal life, but an abundant life here on earth. Through a relationship with Him, believers can experience joy, peace, and purpose both in this life and in the life to come.
- Gender, Identity, and Sexuality: We believe that God created humans male and female in His image, and that our identities and roles are divinely ordained and detailed in Scripture. We uphold that the Bible provides clear guidance on matters of gender and sexuality, affirming the sanctity of covenant marriage between one man and one woman, the reservation of sexual relationships to a covenant marriage between one man and one woman.
- Created in God's Image: We believe every person is created in God's image. We affirm and respect the inherent value and worth of every individual, irrespective of their sex, age, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity while encouraging all to seek a relationship with Jesus and pursue a life that glorifies Him according to His Word, the Bible.
- Role of Women in Ministry: We believe and affirm the vital role of women in ministry. Throughout the scriptures, women have been called and used by God in diverse capacities, and we recognize and celebrate the same calling and gifting upon women today. We assert that both men and women are created in the image of God and, as such, should be encouraged and equipped to serve in all roles and functions within the Body of Christ, without limitation based on gender.
