It has taken me a quite awhile to adjust to the idea that I am not creating my watercolors to sell. That has been so hard for me to grasp, that the sale of the paintings is not why I am creating. I need to create because I am called to create. My worth has been stuck on getting validation from the outside world. In the book "The Sound of Life's Unspeakable Beauty" by Martin Schleske, a book Matt suggested there was a statement; "We subject ourselves to the wrong jury." with scripture suggested 1 Corinthians 7:23. It is hard not to want creative feedback, but in doing so it limits what I am capable of doing to what people see and perceive and reduces freedom. Thank you for your testimony.

Yesterday after session 5 I was chatting online and shared 2 pieces I was working on. She said she really liked the first one. Sooooo pretty were her words. I knew it was a sincere response. I told her how much I usually get and that my website would be up at some point in the future she took me seriously which others have and is more credit than I ever gave myself. I can see the work I have to do to build the runway. Thank you for the Ministry of your courses.

Love your testimony, Phillip! So encouraging. You are in KC? I'm down the road in Manhattan...be so fun to meet up some time and meet your family too. My daughters live in your area...Love what you said about not creating from pressure, but from the life and goodness of God. A good reminder for me today. Have a great day in His creative joy!
